Flagship Wharf is a luxury condominium complex built directly along the Boston Harbor waterfront in Charlestown, Massachusetts. The 11-story brick building features 201 residences, including condominiums and penthouses, and offers sweeping views of the harbor and city skyline.
Located within the historic Charlestown Navy Yard, the building’s exterior faces constant exposure to harsh coastal conditions - from wind-driven rain to freeze-thaw cycling during Boston’s cold winters. Over time, this can lead to moisture absorption, cracking, and degradation of both brick and mortar.
To protect the façade and preserve the property’s aesthetic and structural integrity, Optic™ Translucent Silicone Coating was applied to the exterior brickwork. The coating forms a clear, seamless barrier against moisture intrusion and UV damage, remaining flexible in extreme temperatures while maintaining the natural appearance of the brick.
