Keep your winter projects and teams moving with the Elemax 2600 Air & Water-Resistive Barrier system.
Keep your winter projects and teams moving—despite bitter cold snaps, frigid conditions, and seasonable rain or snow, with the Elemax 2600 Air & Water-Resistive Barrier system.
The Elemax Air & Water-Resistive Barrier (AWB) system offers maximum protection from the elements. The 100% silicone formula creates a durable, breathable, and permanently flexible membrane that performs through fluctuating conditions. It expands and contracts with the building for a long, resilient life—and won’t crack, wash off, or come apart at the seams, as may occur with some alternative solutions.
You can keep projects on track with a solution that installs in extreme temperatures as cold as 0°F (-18°C) —and is rain ready in 30 minutes or less. The Elemax AWB system is fast cure, so you can complete touchups without delay and move on to the next phase of your project.
A single coat cures quickly to form a durable membrane that is both vapor-permeable and airtight.
UV-resistant upon cure, Elemax AWB coating maintains its elasticity even after years of exposure to weather extremes. The seamless, permanently flexible membrane will not crack or separate.
Elemax AWB can be applied by spray, power roller, conventional rollers, or brush—resulting in lower installation costs. It offers one-coat application with no primer required, and is compatible with most silicone sealants and glazes used on façades.
Elemax AWB can be applied in temperatures as low as 0°F (-18°C) without freezing or significant change in viscosity, allowing use in all seasons.
In cold weather conditions, Elemax AWB does not require heating or mixing of additives, and low temperatures do not impact the silicones’ ability to bond and cure (assuming they are applied to clean and dry substrates). It can be exposed to a medium to heavy rain in as little as 30 minutes.
The ICC ESR-3983 evaluation report confirms compliance with IBC, IRC, IECC, and green code(s) requirements for use as both an air barrier and a water resistive barrier.
Worried about project delays? With no primer required, this product can offer significant cost savings associated with labor, material and time delays.
Elemax AWB can be left exposed to the elements – meaning crews can leave sections partially coated for weeks and months, before coming back to finish the project.
Can be applied (even sprayed) throughout the year in temperatures as low as 0˚F (-18˚C), helping to avoid project delays and keeping service departments and crews working.
